New York From the Water

This post marks my 100th photo on Field Trip. How appropriate that it's a shot taken in my hometown, incorporating some of my favorite things -- being on the water, riding a ferry (I'm sure you've noticed a theme)...

New York From the Water

Sometimes it's easy to forget that we're surrounded by water living in New York, but this summer the waterfront has been easier to access than ever. We've been enjoying the fantastic new Fulton Ferry Park, exploring Governor's Island, riding the Water Taxi. This Saturday we rode a ferry through the harbor. Here's one view with the Statue of Liberty in the distance.

NYC Street Art

There's no shortage of great art in NYC, I've discovered walking the streets on this extended Field Trip! Indulge me just a little bit more on this one...

I see this guy's work all over Lower Manhattan. Love it. Who is the artist? Anyone know?

NYC Street Art

Living in NYC, I often find interesting artwork just by walking down the street. The city is like an open air museum! Some consider street art graffiti, but I find it beautiful. Here is some work I found while roaming around Red Hook, Brooklyn.
